We welcome a new sales co-ordinator for push in sales

Schaltbau Transportation UK reveals new sales coordinator in push for new business

Schaltbau Transportation UK has revealed its new sales co-ordinator – a familiar face to those working for the company.

Melissa Lubin moves into the role having been a commercial assistant at Schaltbau for the last two years.

She said: “I’ll be looking after customers, quoting them, dealing with all their requests, face-to-face meetings with them and dealing with all their problems.

“It will be an interesting job for me. When business has been won I’ll be putting the quotes together for our customers. There’s a lot to learn, but I’ve kind of covered some of the work since joining here.

“The biggest change is that I’ll be more customer facing, rather than dealing the suppliers which I did before.”

It comes at a time for the company when there is a real push on customer service and big plans for growth in their reputation in trains in the toilet, doors and HVAC areas.

Melissa first arrived at the company in an administration role, before becoming a buyer.

She said: “It’s quite an interesting job because we deal with trains and there’s so many different types of trains we deal with and the things we do for the industry.

“I did actually come here through a friend who told me about the job. It was completely different as I didn’t work in this industry before. I worked for a company called Rockwell Automation so it was like machinery but I was doing billing then.

“It was intense and I had a lot to learn, but it was do-able for me. Now I’m moving back into the project department as a sales co-ordinator. I’m looking forward to it. It’s a new challenge.”
